I am getting married next month, and one of the many tough decisions I had to make was which champagne my new husband and I will toast too. This may not be of concern to some brides, but I have a very sensitive palate. I can not drink many wines because they give me what is commonly known as Asian flush. The last thing I need is to be red and blotchy on my wedding night. Luckily, my wedding planner came to the rescue. She brought us several brands of top shelf champagnes for us to try. We literally drank a sip and then waited to see if I would have a reaction. To our surprise, Cristal Champagne was the only one to not make me red. Sure it is the most expensive, but its my big day and I think we can splurge for the occasion. I look forward to being able to toast and not worry about the flush!

Outside the window there is a clown walking down the street carrying a bunch of colorful balloons. I am close to a childrens hospital right now so he must think that he will be able to sell a lot of balloons. I would not buy a balloon from him because I think clowns are strange. Maybe after I attended an incredible Buenos Aires wine tastingI would consider it, but I doubt it.
Clowns belong in the circus not on the streets of beautiful Buenos Aires. I have seen more clowns in a few months here than I have in my whole life. I am not sure why so many clowns are present here. I wonder if it is just in this city or if this happens in pretty Mendoza. Wine and clowns sounds like a dangerous combination to me. I bet a clown would not drink a delicious Argentine Malbec for fear of ruining his clown makeup. Well maybe he would since their lips tend to be extra red. It might be safer for them to drink a white wine like a delicious Torrontes.
I read a book this summer that was about the circus but they focused more on the animals than the clowns or other circus performers. I liked the book. It was an easy read and I like the style of the book. The story alternated between the present day and past of the same character. Some books like to surprise you so that you do not know that it is the same character but in this book you knew it was the same person from the beginning. I like reading books on the beach. Sometimes it is hard because the sun is too bright but if you were sitting under a beach umbrella it would be fine. I also like drinks with umbrellas. I would love to have an umbrella drink while sitting under a beach umbrella reading a book right now.
